STARLETT BOSWELL AUSTIN

A small town girl from Cascade, VA, with anything but a small town voice.  Born into a musical family, Starlett first began singing and winning talent contests at the young age of 4.  By the age of 8 she was playing upright bass and guitar by the age of 10.  Starlett has graced stages with numerous bluegrass artists, and for the last 9 years Starlett has been the lead vocalist and bass player for Lawson Creek Grass.  As an accomplished musician, vocalist, and songwriter, Starlett is looking forward to continuing playing bluegrass festivals and recording her own music with her new venture, Starlett and Big John.   When Starlett is not playing music, she enjoys spending time with her family in Ruffin, NC.

BIG JOHN TALLEY

A musician of no small reown, Big John Talley’s distinctive guitar style and souring vocals have put him on the Bluegrass map for over 38 years. At 17, he and his band New Dominion Bluegrass were guest of Bill Monroe’s at the Grand Ole’ Opry. Him and his family live in the county he refers to as God’s Country; Southampton County, VA.
