They live in the San Juan Islands of Washington\, though until recently\, home was Portland\, OR. They are foundational to the exceptional old-time and country music scene in the Pacific NW with the Caleb Klauder Reeb Willms Country Band and their membership in the Foghorn Stringband\, of which Caleb was a founding member. Charismatic performers\, they bring their unique set of talents to the stage with an eye towards good times and an ear towards the deepest songs and tunes.  \nCaleb Klauder and Reeb Willms both originally hail from Washington State: Caleb from the coastal islands\, and Reeb from the high desert plateau. The two have come together in music and are hailed as some of the most compelling musicians making country roots music in America today. When these two sing together\, their honest incantations leave us spell-bound and smiling.  \nTheir repertoire is made up of original songs and tunes as well as gems from American roots repertoires\, and the music they make is Americana in the truest sense of the word. Music is clearly in their blood. Caleb and Reeb’s originals and interpretations of songs have been covered and recorded by many performers and their musical presence reaches into a diverse and loyal fanbase\, giving credence to the impact that this duo has on their listeners. Pillars of the Northwest music scene\, they carry the torch of their music around the world\, and can be found touring as a duo\, as well as with the Foghorn Stringband\, and the Caleb Klauder Country Band. Their fans exude admiration for the timeless sound that these two produce\, capturing the essence of American roots music.  \nSometimes we get so unnecessarily swept up in who’s rising and falling in music these days that the sheer joy of music is overlooked. One of the great things about Caleb and Reeb is that they are a world apart from all of that nonsense and let you immerse yourself in the melody and story of classic sounding country music until all other cares of life fade away. Country music is the music of working people who use it to pass the time and forget about the ever-present hardships in their lives. After years of touring together\, Reeb and Caleb work intuitively.  \nCaleb’s study and understanding of roots music is so dedicated and rich\, that he can hauntingly immerse himself in the same perspective of those old primitive country composers and write as if he was right beside them. Their album Innocent Road includes a clutch of lovingly arranged Klauder originals\, along with well-placed and rare covers. The pair bring the spirit of legendary country duos into their contemporary takes on country music. Trading vocals back and forth\, they complement each other strikingly well in an attractive meld of honky-tonk that brushes shoulders with trad bluegrass. SUMMARY:Tim O'Brien
DESCRIPTION:Born in Wheeling\, West Virginia in 1954\, Grammy winning singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Tim O’Brien grew up singing in church and in school. After seeing Doc Watson on TV\, he became a lifelong devotee of old time and bluegrass music. Tim started touring nationally in 1978 with Colorado bluegrass band Hot Rize. His songs “Walk the Way the Wind Blows” and “Untold Stories” were bluegrass hits for Hot Rize\, and country hits for Kathy Mattea. Soon more artists like Nickel Creek\, Garth Brooks\, and The Dixie Chicks covered his songs. Over the years\, Tim has collaborated with his sister Mollie O’Brien\, songwriter Darrell Scott\, and noted old-time musician Dirk Powell\, as well as with Steve Earle\, Mark Knopfler\, Dan Auerbach\, Sturgill Simpson\, and Steve Martin. \nLiving in Nashville since 1996\, O’Brien’s skills on guitar\, mandolin\, fiddle\, and banjo make him an in- demand session player. He tours in a duet setting with his wife Jan Fabricius on mandolin and vocals\, and in a band the includes bassist Mike Bub\, fiddler Shad Cobb\, and Fabricius. A voracious reader who loves to cook\, he has two sons\, Jackson (born 1982) and Joel (born 1990). The International Bluegrass Music Association awarded him song of the year in 2006 and named him best male vocalist in 1993 and 2006. In 2018\, the Virginia native also became the first woman to earn a Guitar Performer of the Year nomination from the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America (SPBGMA)\, an honor she received again in 2019. \nRebecca Frazier’s lifelong journey between mountains and coastal waters is the backdrop for her flagship 2024 Compass Records release\, BOARDING WINDOWS IN PARADISE\, a tour de force album of bluegrass and acoustic roots music which landed on No Depression music journal’s “Americana Ten” and debuted at #4 on Billboard Bluegrass charts.  \nFrazier’s compelling original songs range from hard driving to thoughtful emotive folk. A bevy of acoustic A-listers such as Béla Fleck (banjo)\, Sam Bush (mandolin)\, and Stuart Duncan (fiddle) flavor her music with the wisdom and grace she is striving to present as she captures life’s juxtapositions with her new music. \nFrazier’s bond with GRAMMY-winning producer Bill Wolf\, known for working with Tony Rice and Grateful Dead\, was the catalyst for the significant caliber of musicianship in her recordings.  \nGRAMMY-winning banjoist and producer Alison Brown notes\, “Rebecca Frazier is an important voice among the group of women whose musical talents and creative visions are recasting bluegrass.
