Touring over the last almost 20 years as Camille and Stuie\, the husband-and-wife duo became beloved in Australia. Stuie is a monster player with chops that sublimely meld the virtuosity and instinct of jazz with the clear tone and restraint of American hillbilly roots music. Camille holds a once-in-a-generation voice: somehow both crisply expressive and immeasurably rich and smooth\, she can sit back to soothe in a pocket before jumping out to thrill. SUMMARY:The Tennessee Warblers
DESCRIPTION:A Nashville institution\, the Tennessee Warblers have been jamming folky grooves since 2014 with a rotating cast of pickin' pals culled from Music City's vibrant bluegrass and Grateful Dead community. \nJohn Beck and Adam Dalton met while performing together in various projects and bonded over the acoustic music of Jerry Garcia and David Grisman. On a winter's eve\, they tried their hands at co-writing and the song "Restless" was born. Soon thereafter the Warblers took flight performing in and around Music City before starting what was to become a 5 year residency at Nashville's legendary Sutler Saloon. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThere the group honed their sound and was featured on the Travel Channel's Food Paradise. In 2016 they released their debut EP of which the Murfreesboro Pulse called "a solid debut peppered with well-played instrumental breaks\, and recommended for fans of Americana and Southern folk." \nThey stayed busy touring\, performing at festivals (Hoedown on the Harpeth Bluegrass Festival\, Nashville Predators' Craft Beer Festival\, East Nashville Beer Festival) and periodically orchestrated tributes to their heroes\, performing Bob Dylan's Nashville Skyline and the Grateful Dead's Europe '72 albums in their entirety. \nAfter distilling some fresh songs\, they linked up with engineer Nathan Yarborough (The Mavericks\, Leanne Rimes\, Mastodon) to cut their debut record live in the warm wood walls of Madison\, TN's Bluegrass Compound. Seated together in a circle in the shotgun cabin hall\, they took turns calling tunes from their repertoire and let the tape roll. \nThe resulting record\, Small Town Songs\, was released in November 2022 to which Ana Lee of WMOT Roots Radio 89.5FM called\, "A really fun album. A lotta great covers. A lotta great originals." Edd Hurt of the Nashville Scene wrote\, "Small Town Songs makes me happy to know the Nashville bluegrass-Dead community is thriving." \nIn 2023 the group performed the record on their Small Towns Tour\, collaborated with Midnight North at the Touch of Brews Music Festival and of all things sang to Chuck Norris AND survived! \nThe band continues to serve up a fun mix of rootsy originals and cherry picked covers to all who'll lend an ear. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArtist Website

Get ready to join the journey with this rising Americana sensation. \nRemedy Tree\, founded by Gabriel and Abigail Acevedo in 2015\, in its inception had a strong indie-folk sound. As time progressed Remedy Tree added a banjo player and were subsequently thrust into a bluegrass trajectory. Gabriel Acevedo was born in Bayamon Puerto Rico and was raised in rural Umatilla Florida. His Puerto Rican heritage and upbringing provides an outsider’s approach to the genre. Abigail was raised in folk and old-time music circles and traveled with her family band throughout her teen years. \nAn original music band at heart\, Remedy Tree combines the love for bluegrass\, an Appalachian old-time spirit\, and the folk melodies that started it all\, creating a truly unique Americana experience that provides a fresh perspective into where bluegrass is headed in the future. DESCRIPTION:The Cincinnati-based ensemble Buffalo Wabs (as in ‘mobs’) and the Price Hill Hustle can be best described as ‘American’– from the mountains to Music Row\, blues-gospel to traditional country\, the Hustle combines parts of the American-born genre catalogue to create an energetic experience every single night.    \nThis four-piece moves from fast-paced\, foot-stomping anthems to harmony-laden ballads and traditional dirges of spirit and labor. “The group started around the love of music that moves you\,” says drummer/vocalist and band spokesman\, Casey Campbell. “The music accompanies the story; and sometimes the music is the story by which we can all connect to one another.”    \nWith the release of their third album\, Stranger in the Alps\, due March 15th\, 2019\, the Hustle aims to increase their original music portfolio while paying homage to select tunes that have had lasting impact on the band. “This album explores the first co-writing the band has undertaken\,” says Campbell.  “And through that collaborative process we’re beginning to find more complex voices\, more adventurous tunes that bridge our influences even more than before.”  \nThe new original material featured on Stranger in the Alps is a “cross-section of stylistic influences and voices\,” says Campbell. “Oh\, Ramona!\,” written by Campbell\, hearkens to the Piedmont Blues-era musicians\, with tongue-in-cheek lyrics and a wry humor throughout. “Those old pickers knew how to tell a story; that’s the kind of vibe we’re after.”  \nThe band also pays respects to some of the great influencers of American music on this latest album.  “The covers we’ve chosen mean something to us; these are songs that still speak to us\, and we want folks who may not know them to become familiar.” On the album’s third track\, the band takes a full-steam-ahead approach to the iconic Leadbelly song\, “Stewball\,” an all-out fest that echoes the frantic speeds of a racetrack. “The intensity\, the pace\, it all builds from the first note to the last\,” with help from acclaimed regional musicians Joe Macheret (The Tillers and Joe’s Truckstop) on fiddle and John K. Victor on harmonica. Macheret’s fiddle plays a pivotal role throughout the album; as Campbell notes\, “Having such immensely talented friends is so beneficial when building the sonic landscape of a studio tune.”    \nAs “Stranger in the Alps” is just hitting the market\, the band already has its eyes set on the next project. “The wheels have been put in motion\,” Campbell says\, “and we’re ready to get the next batch out. It’s going to be a busy year.”    \nThe Hustle has worked relentlessly through the Mid-Atlantic region\, playing shows from south Minnesota to Asheville\, North Carolina. As 2019 begins ramping up the band is eager to stretch its legs farther west\, farther south\, and beyond.    \nFrom large theaters to tiny bars\, the show’s the same: heartfelt\, real\, a little loose\, and sincerely fun.  As the Hustle says\, “If it ain’t fun\, it ain’t worth it.”  \nFounded on the West Side of Cincinnati\, the current lineup of the Hustle is starting its third year together. Anchored by the upright\, Bill Baldock brings decades of experience and finesse to the  \ntalent pool\, having been based around Nashville\, TN\, for many years while playing for a litany of revered industry professionals. Primary soloist Scott Risner does the same; now based in Cincinnati\, Risner has also been a staple in the circuit for over thirty years\, playing with such renowned acts as Alison Krauss and JD Crowe and the New South. Founding members Matt Wabnitz and Casey Campbell have been picking out heavy-hearted tunes for a decade together. DESCRIPTION:Originally from the sacred bluegrass mountains of southwestern Virginia\, Thomas Cassell is among the highest rank of modern bluegrass musicians.  Cassell is a founding member of respected progressive group Circus No. 9\, and has performed as a sideman with Billy Strings\, the Bryan Sutton Band\, Jim Lauderdale\, Missy Raines\, Becky Buller\, and countless others.  Now a resident of Nashville\, TN\, he is cultivating new and original music – not ignorant of the great traditions that preceded him. \nCassell’s new album\, What You Need to Prove\, is his first collection of original vocal material\, following the acclaimed 2018 instrumental album Voyager. \nIn 2021 Cassell was named the National Mandolin Champion.  He was also named the 2020 Momentum Instrumentalist of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association\, 2021 FreshGrass Mandolin Champion\, 2016 Rockygrass Mandolin Champion\, and is a two-time alum of the prestigious Acoustic Music Seminar in Savannah Georgia\, where he collaborated with artists including Darrell Scott\, Bryan Sutton\, Mike Marshall\, Aoife O’Donovan\, Kaia Kater\, and Julian Lage. \n\nArtist Website

Most traditional music was born on the front porch of the family home\, later finding it’s way onto stage\, radio\, and record. For Williamson Branch\, music and family have been melding for three generations. Despite a varied background that incorporates bluegrass\, country\, Gospel and dance\, this family band are traditionalists in every sense\, carrying on a sound that springs from the very roots those archival styles imply. \nTheir polished approach to music helped propel their single\, Blue Moon Over Texas to the # 1 spot on the RMR Bluegrass Chart for 7 weeks and garnered the band the award for 2020 Valley Star Family Vocal Group of the Year. Melody Williamson was recognized as the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Momentum Vocalist of the Year for 2020.
